Your poll - which is well worded and doesn't imply too much - shows there are plenty willing to rip off the scab to let the wound heal in the hope it heals better than what they consider mediocre (8-5) to be. 8-5 in the SEC or even PAC where you play multiple top 25 opponents would be respectable. 8-5 when you only have 4 "tough (2 preseason ranked)" games isn't so impressive.

I hope you are being disingenuous telling "those who believe the grass is greener on the other side of this coach...[to] get used to disappointment". I don't understand the fear of mediocrity under a new coach that may not work out when you already have mediocrity under the existing coach. If you are genuinely serious, and this is the best it gets, then why play the season at all cause 8-5 or mediocre is good enough?

Instead of telling fans who are passionate for improvement to "jump on another band wagon", maybe the bandwagon should dump those who are comfortable with going in circles.
