I have never been in this situation before in my career... don't know what to do
So I got laid off back at the end of November, managed to find a 6 month contract job the same week I was laid off... It was a win... but a very temporary win. They ended up extending my contract until June 30th. So I have been job hunting.

I have had a lot of interviews... 2 of the jobs I wanted really bad..

Well... I got an offer on them both today... benefits wise... they are almost identical. 1 offers 1 more week of vacation... the other offers it in the form of floating holidays, however they also offer 5 sick days that can be used instead of using PTO. The only problem with the other job is that I have to wait 45 days for Benefits to kick in... the one with the floating holidays and sick days I only have to wait 15 days.

1 is a fortune top 50... the other is barely a fortune 500.

The fortune top 50 job will pay me 4k less then the other job... however I'm eligible for a 5% bonus with the fortune top 50 job.

At the fortune 500 company... there is some concern about the stability of the company as there are rumors it's being shopped right now. However the project I'd be working on is basically the core of the entire company... thus the risk of a layoff is low.

At the fortune top 50 company... the HQ is in Boston, and I'll be working a very small IT office of there's in Texas... small meaning maybe 5 people total.

So I have A: Fortune top 50 company, stable, top 3 business in it's field. Would be a great career move, offers me a bit of a promotion however with $4k less in pay. Benefits are great... 4 weeks of PTO. Small team I'd be working on away from HQ.

B: Barely a Fortune 500 company... with some stability concerns, however the project I'd be on is the core of the company thus the project is very stable. I'd be at there HQ office. I'd be sliding into basically the same role I'm in now, however it would be more technical then what I'm use to. No bonus, but $4k more than the other job.

Oh and... the offices are literally 5 minutes apart from each other... and the commute to work is the best I've ever had. And both mangers, I've actually gone out to lunch with both... both are fantastic. 1 is born and bread Texan... the other is a Russian who just cracks me up.

What would you do CB? I'm literally at a loss right now.
