With only 8 conference games and when just about everyone plays three HOME OOC games against FCS and Sun Belt/CUSA opponents, everyone has at least 3 OOC wins. The SOS formulas love this, because you have a bunch of teams with 4-0 or 3-1 OOC records playing each other. And, even the teams that are 3-5 or 2-6 in conference play still finishes bowl eligible.

I still think the SEC has the strongest conference and the best following. Look at recruiting, NFL draft, attendance, and TV ratings numbers. It has just been over-stated somewhat because of the SEC's OOC schedule strategy.
