Oakand is my favorite city in the Bay Area.

And hardly a total dump. It's the Brooklyn of the West Coast. All of the creative types that are priced out of SF are relocating in Oakland. The restaurant scene is one of the most creative in the country. The real estate market in Oakland is the strongest in the nation.
