They keep saying that they don't want to split the pie more than 10 ways. Fine. We will keep our ESPN deal and not take any money from the pie. This should make your TV Big 12 TV partners happy as it would put BYU on their networks for away Big 12 games (BYU is better than most of the non-conference games they have now). I bet ESPN would do something for us on the basketball contract, too. Probably pay us a little under our FMV (anyone even know our cut from WCC money?), but that's fine--this would be until the next Big 12 TV negotiations. I would think ESPN would be happy with this arrangement as our home schedule would be better, which gives them a better selection of games. I am sure many have suggested this, but am I missing something?
