RE: only having seen the Cal game live here are my responses:
1 - I think BYU was worried about the scrum and had a plan to get the ball out of the scrum quickly to avoid Cal winning those scrums
2 - no, the BYU backs played so well that I don't think Paul being there would have made a big difference
