At most, I expect former players that want to come back and visit the university to be treated with respect, and invited to the team's alumni day activity. It doesn't matter whether you are Luke Staley or Dustin Staley. You are an alumni, and the university and the coaching staff has no responsibility to consult you for advice, offer you free tickets, free sideline passes, or whatever else.

I am glad Luke Staley was a Coug, and he was one of my favorite players. But if his choice is to never return to campus, it makes no difference to me or the team.
