than any of our running backs. Their offense was running through him at a monopolistic rate before that game. Losing him woulda been more akin to us losing Taysom than any one of our RBs.
Even still--all things being the same--I don't like our chances in that game without Jamaal. Taysom would still have his incredible games--& that final score woulda been very, very close. As for Lasike--he did most of his damage after Jamaal went out with the scary back injury. The UT defense was on its heels by then (due much to Jamaal), which is when Paul runs his best. He's not so good at hitting his hole & getting through a stout front.
