The Texas example sure gets a lot of mileage.

But it's quite unlikely that UCLA is going to go through a Texas style collapse this year. Their talent is top shelf, their coaching is stellar. The Bruins are projected at 9.5 wins this season which for a team playing their schedule means they are likely to be very, very good. Fans are fostering false hopes with the Texas comparison.
