I think it can go something like this
To the Pac-12: Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas St., Iowa St. The Pac-12 sells a portion of their network to ESPN and uses it to buyout the Longhorn Network. This allows for much greater distribution of the Pac-12 network into 4 new states.

To the B1G: Kansas and Missouri. They fit geographically and academically. They are natural rivals.

To the SEC: Oklahoma St., TCU, Virginia Tech. A&M delivers Houston, TCU can deliver Dallas. Oklahoma St. and Virginia Tech add two new regional states to the SEC mix.

To the ACC: West Virginia and UConn. Regional fits that work well in the basketball first conference.

To the AAC: Baylor, Texas Tech and unfortunately BYU.
