Additionally, the % of the salary cap depends on a few factors with the main one

being how many years a player has been in the league. A player in the league 7 years gets a bigger max deal than a player with less time. The 10 year mark is another big step up in the max contract amount. There are other things such as All-NBA team and all star game appearances than can effect it a bit too.
