Yeah, the Super Hornet vs. F14 is a huge reduction in maintenance costs, can't

remember what I heard, but it was something like every hour of F-14 flight required 40 hrs mainenance and every 40 hr of F-18 SH flight required one hour. Maybe talking about my tailpipe on the numbers, but it was incredible how complex and expensive the 14 was for the Navy.
