bag. Most of my professors did consulting in the private sector. This was true even for the Sociology prof. All of my Accounting profs were adjuncts who worked full time in the industry and taught part time. There were very few who only taught and did research. Of the ones who did not work outside the universities, several ran or worked in think tanks or research foundations.
