dealings with our HOA for land to build a church, then I can see how BYU could be seen as "being difficult". From my limited understanding, the church does things their way, and if they don't fit that way they rarely make exceptions. You can see how the church operates in many areas - it's done a certain way, regardless of the situation and/ or location, and if it doesn't work then it doesn't work. That's fine, and it's the church's right to operate that way...that way they don't get taken advantage of and things don't come back to bite them in the rear.
