Interesting point about the $25 donation.
The previous AD at Ole Miss completely ignored the non high-dollar donor and relied on the fat cats to fund the athletic department. His replacement has actively and aggressively sought out the average man's donation and it has really taken off. They created a separate donations page catered to crowd-sourcing projects through smaller donations instead of relying on call centers to guilt you into writing a big check.

Maybe the best example would be after we beat Alabama last year and the fans stormed the field and tore down the goalposts. They raised the $75k to pay the $50k SEC fine for storming the field and another $25k to replace the goalposts in just 4 hours. All told, the average donation was around $100, more than the $25 mentioned in the previous post, but well within the realm of possibility for a family with an average income.

Long story short, those $25 donations can be very effective if you have the right strategy for soliciting them.
