I sort of agree...
I think the Church is walking a precarious tightrope and risks finding itself on the wrong side of history. On the issue of whether a married gay couple can attend BYU, the issue is not doctrinal, in my opinion. The issue is about discrimination. And discrimination is not always bad--e.g. BYU discriminates against smokers; All Universities discriminate against dishonesty when in the form of academic cheating. So the question is whether BYU should discriminate based on gay sex between married people.

"We further declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife."

Fine, but everybody attending BYU is a sinner. I think BYU should be wary of making this "sin" [I'm putting that in quotes because I'm not personally convinced, but that's just me and I could be wrong] one that precludes attendance.
