I count 7 seniors and 9 juniors who ought to be contributing on D this season

I'd think we could find at least a leader or two among them, keeping in mind that guys like Warner, Preator, Tausinga, and Takitaki are all sophomores.

Not stating we'll definitely have anybody step up and claim the leadership roles, just that there are plenty of worthy candidates.

IMO, both. The DL was just not very good last year, and the LBs weren't as good
