The revenue will be there if the team is able to have a special season once every 4 to 5 years. I agree only a few in Div1 could possibly pull that off. If independence has to be the only option we have long-term, it is the only way to make it work from a $$ standpoint. I imagine Bronco, TH, et al understand the difficulties of maintaining that kind of production on the field, hence the "3 year" talk we hear coming out of BYU. The $$ from being a P5 member makes it a lot easier to fund an athletic program without having to be on an Alabama or OSU win cycle.
