Let's say that his backup is below average. How does that warrant saying that

the offense doesn't run without him on the field? What would be the consequences we'd see watching the games? The backup center just being run over every time without a lot of slowing down the DL? Frequent skiwampus snaps? Penalties? Why is the center, in particular THAT important?
