The big difference between Beck's jr year and TH4's is that John went 1-3 through the first 4 games (including losing to SDSU 31-10 that went 5-7 on the year) and TH4 went 4-0.

I think you're forgetting all the criticism that Beck received after that JR year for not being able to win the a "big" game. What Taysom did to Texas x2 plus just taking over the Virginia game was just incredible and shows the potential he has. That's why I think most would pick Hill over Beck going into their senior years based on potential. Now, most would qualify that position by saying, "If TH4 can stay healthy" which I think could be used to argue for Beck, although JB had his fair share of injuries as well.

P.S. I always hate doing what I did because in order to defend my position it seems I have to speak bad in a sense about one of our own. I love JB and no one was more happy to see the kind of senior season that guy had after all the challenges of his previous years, so we're comparing two fantastic apples IMO. I'd pick either of them going into this season and be extremely excited.
