and say that companion dogs are generally a joke (obviously there are some very rare exceptions). They said that people who drag their ill-trained companion dogs make their job much more difficult.

They also said that it is interesting how when they are challenged about bringing an animal they are training into a restaurant or store, they generally do not fight them. They simply inform them of the law, and then leave. OTOH, they said that companion dog people have a reputation for making a scene when their animal is denied entrance.
