Reduce the carbs in your diet (especially sugar and processed carbs) and increase the fat. In the '80s, we reduced our fat and increased our carbs, and since then we've gotten fatter and more prone to diabetes and heart disease.

The kind of fat matters, though. Saturated fat is good for you. The more processed a fat is, the less likely it is to be good for you.
