My wife loves beaches, water sports and hiking. I'm happy just being away from the kids. This board seems to be in love with Hawaiian vacations so I've been checking them out. First the flights are really expensive and second the beaches just don't seem as nice as what I'm used to. I went on my mission to the Caribbean and have been back there on vacations a lot over the last 15 years so I'm a little biased.

Anyone been to both and explain why Hawaii would be a better trip, even though it'll cost roughly twice what a sweet southern Caribbean trip will cost? The Caribbean cruise I'm looking at goes to St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Aruba and Curacao (I've never been to Aruba or Curacao before, those were part of the Venezuela mission back in the day). Any other places I should be looking at that may be better? Thanks
