If they had the goods, the likes of Monson and Drew would be running to other players and asking, "are you worried about not having player x for the Nebraska game? Do you really think you can beat a P5 team when you're not at full strength?"

"Do you feel like you are ready to step in an play for player y in a game as big as Nebraska? Have you been getting enough reps to get you up to speed?"

"Do you feel like it was fair to suspend player z? The video didn't seem to show enough evidence to warrant a suspension?"

"How will the players who are suspended taking the news that they aren't playing? Could this cause problems in the locker room or with coaches?"

On and on and on. They would seek to be as divisive as possible with the team. That is their nature. Right now all they can do is whine that they don't know.
