It is part of the fabric of their life. I was in Lincoln last week for business. Football season is all the state has and they treat it with that type of focus and passion. People travel from all over the state and neighboring states to be there. Tailgating to one degree or another has already started for some. Until you hit the road and actually see a fan base that is as invested you really don't understand what it means to be a fan of big-time program. There is so much more investment financially, physically and emotionally.
