Yes! I was there, I was halfway up on the 50 (before legacy took over the
prime seating on the east side). I ran down to use my powerful kung foo to take down 5, possibly ten massive, lean, powerful Yewt players. I almost trampled an old lady as I jumped from the railing, but I didn't care. No one was going to do this in our house.

Regretfully, only one Cougar player had the courage to make a stand. Sure, a few fans were incensed, but I doubt they would do much. If it were not for Chad Lewis, this moment would be one of the saddest, most embarrassing moments in our rivalry. The Yewts pulling down OUR goalpost in OUR house. $@!! no! Chad ran out alone, and then the beaten Cougar players followed. I don't remember seeing Chad throw a punch, but I could have missed that. By the time I got there, it was all over, and the Pukey, cowardly Yewts backed off. Only a Yewt could be that classless.

I think that might have been the first time I gave into hatred and anger - and let the dark side take over. It would happen again many more times in the following years, but never was I so enraged as I was at that moment. It still gets me going, so many years later. Chad Lewis will always have my respect for being only one to stand up to the Scourge. I relished in his professional success in the NFL, he's an Alltime Cougar.
