And almost any poll that compares education or other attributes that correlate with being "dumb" strongly suggests the South is dumb compared to the rest of the country. Obviously there aren't perfect correlations among these things, but I feel there's enough evidence that I'm comfortable saying people in the South appear to, on average, be less intelligent than the rest of the country. So what's so dumb about my statement?
