I many ways, fan bases aren't all that different. Even among the universally well-regarded Husker faithful, you see some of the same behaviors that are on display when we're in full-meltdown mode on Cougarboard.

Riley has made some bad game management decisions. The Huskers had to claw their way back into the Miami game but still lost in overtime. They could be undefeated but for what their fan base perceives as some very costly game management decisions in the opening and most recent games.

Riley will need to deliver a couple big wins and get the Huskers to respectability by season's end, or he'll be on the hot seat in year 2. Husker Nation is educated and sportsmanlike. They aren't necessarily patient--just ask Frank Solich.
