I've actually made the comparison to McBride for years. Bronco came in when BYU

was really struggling and turned BYU back into a winning program that is a perennial bowl team, just like McBride. But also just like McBride, his teams are almost always good, but never great. And just like McBride, he generally suffers at least 1 inexplicable loss every season and will mismanage the clock and his timeouts on a regular basis.

I love what Bronco has done for the program, but I think we will always be good and never great as long as he is the head coach.
