The NCAA made changes to the partial qualifier rules and it is a longer story, but the end result is that the revised partial qualifier rule becomes effective, 1/1/16, without the conference limitations, Lake has no transfer penalty, and will qualify for the partial waiver, he will have 4 to play 4 after his 1st year of academic qualification and will be able to apply for redshirt status for the first year, retroactively, so assuming he doesn't serve a mission, he will apply in 2019 to be eligible for fall 2019.
