option coaches often avoid it cuz they don't want to deal with the potential fallout of negative results. Also, history sides against platoons because most are born from a scenario where the headcoach feels he doesn't have a viable QB between his available options.

Very rarely do you have two talented QBs who desire to share snaps. But if we have a situation where that's the case, we shouldn't shy from rolling with it, IMO.

And I'm not suggesting Taysom & Tanner would even be for it. But if they are, I'd certainly be willing to roll with it if I'm the coach. If not, & Tanner continues to climb--I think you have to let (& help) Taysom find a new fit for his last season of collegiate play. Which I don't want anymore than anyone else.
