Points per possession on offense was as good as it gets last year. That they didn't play inside out and realized few points from bigs didn't hurt one bit on offense.
Lack of post presence was a major weakness…on defense, where BYU was third rate. A team can't play effective defense without bigs. BYU proved last year they can be better than ever on offense without post scoring. Check out the modern advanced stats.
Like the writers who have BYU outside the top 50 preseason, you know next to nothing about Davis, Aytes, Emery, Kaufusi's learning curve, and Austin's defensive effectiveness. Sounds like you do know one thing the writers don't--that KC's improved health will gives him another boost in quickness and hops.
All they know is that Cougars lost the nation's leading scorer in Haws so they can't be stronger.
