I grew up in Missouri. Black on white racism was way worse. In fact so was black
on black racism. My best friend was the smartest kid in school. Problem was he was black. And he was the only black kid in school not from the city. He was often humiliated, but he shouldn't have had to deal with that.

I was called cracker and generally blacks made fun of white people openly at school. Conversely, I don't remember ever hearing anything racist from my white people...
