To be clear, Utah does not have to lose to CU in order to play in Vegas bowl
I've seen people state that Vegas cannot invite Utah unless they lose this weekend. I can spell out all the details if you want but it's actually very straightforward stuff. Bowls shuffle teams around and make side negotiations all the time. And the Vegas Bowl in particular has done this.
I'll repeat. Utah does not need to lose to get a Vegas invite.
