that I can remember that the LaVell years weren't all peaches and cream either. Even during the years when we were winning big, we often ended the year in disappointing fashion by losing our bowl game even though we were usually favored to win and more highly ranked.

Don't get me wrong, I loved those years but just have come to realize that the truly special years (1980, 1983, 1984, 1996) don't come along all that often and certainly not with any regularity. I appreciate that Bronco is always trying to improve the program and that he's willing to play tough games even if most are on the road. He understands our situation and is open to do what it takes to improve it. I also appreciate that we are consistently good even if we're not great yet, but I think with a little luck, we could be soon.
