I think Bronco has improved at #5 and #6...
...this season. His game planning has been much improved this season and in some key games we saw him reach way back into the old days as a DC and dial up some crazy blitzes and focus on ways to confuse and throw opposing QB's off their games rather than sit back and let them just pick us apart hoping they make a mistake. At times our D has been about as fun to watch as it was in 2012. Quite a contrast from last season when we sat way back on D and let teams pick us apart.

I also think his in game adjustments are happening much quicker than they used to. I don't see him waiting until half time to make wholesale adjustments. He's gotten pretty quick at countering opposing offenses and many times the first quarter isn't even over when you can see we've taken away something that the other team was finding success with. There are a lot of things I think Anae does better than Bronco but I think this is an area where Anae could learn from Bronco (and needs to frankly).

Yes, he still hurts the offense by wasting all the timeouts each half. It's frustrating but what is the alternative? Stay in the wrong defensive alignment or with the wrong personnel on the field and run the risk of giving up a big play? Other than this, I can't recall any boneheadedness at the end of games by him this season. I have been surprised and impressed by some of the aggressive calls he's made this year (I'm assuming only he would make these calls) in going for it on 4th down early in games despite being on his own side of the field, going for on-side kicks early in games, etc. I wish we'd see Anae get a little more creative and be qicker with his adjustments instead of always waiting until half.
