teams in their non-conference and bowl games. After dominating a typical WAC schedule.
Don't get me wrong; BYU won the NC fair and square that year. And the 1984 team was loaded on both sides of the ball, so they probably could have finished undefeated even with a tougher schedule.
But the criticism that they "didn't play anyone good" is a valid one.
