The effect is not as big as some on here like to claim. It has been noticed, but it is not enough to force change discussions outside a few offices on campus.
Even those discussions are not serious or meant to do anything other than explore what-if scenarios. Long term financial success of the athletics programs at BYU are more tied to much more than coaching. The focus is appropriately on those decisions.
