while I am not looking for him to leave necessarily your assertion that his dissenters are completely wrong flies right in the face of your assertion that you are sure you are right. You don't have any idea whether BYU would be better off with another coach or not.
The thing that I don't understand from his ardent supporters is that they won't acknowledge that there could be a better alternative. They are afraid to even go there because then their support for him seems as flimsy as those that want to try something else.
As long as he is head coach no one will know whether there is something better, someone better, someone that could elevate BYU. I am not sure if it is fear of something new or being wrong or if it is simply acknowledging that what is currently happening year in and year out is as good as it gets.
