It's the highest ranked G5 CHAMPION

This is an important distinction, because had Temple lost to UConn, unranked USF would have made the American CCG game. If USF were to beat Houston in the CCG, NAVY would likely be the highest ranked G5 team, but ineligible for the G5 tie-in to the NY6.
