Has BYU ever been "left out" or "looked over"?
I understand the rules, and I can see the potential for feeling like a less deserving G5 team played in a NY6 bowl.
But it has never happened. BYU has never been ranked higher than the highest ranked G5 team. If BYU is ranked higher than the highest ranked G5 team and BYU is not taken as an At Large, then BYU's access is worst.
That hasn't ever happened, though. And I am not sure it ever will. It could, sure. Or it might not.
