An undefeated season in a hypothetical AAC, plus 3 or 4 non-conference wins against top 25 type teams could be enough, but it isn't guaranteed. However, I really think BYUs sights should be on NY6 right now. Getting in a NY6 game would have to make us more appealing to P5 expansion, from a monetary perspective alone. Also, it is far more attainable. While an undefeated 2016 might get BYU into the Playoff, I would think a 1 loss BYU has a strong NY6 resume, and even 2 losses would be in the discussion.
