He isn't a liability because he is one of our best defenders.

His effort is high on D, but still has some growth. It is extremely hard to defend pg's. The rules favor the offensive player so much that it will take him some time to reach his potential on D. He plays with a lot of fire on both ends and is already our 2nd best player.
