I am curious as to why the Big12 Texas and Oklahoma schools would want another
Texas team to compete with for recruits. Considering TCU and Baylor are now effectively recruiting Texas, TAMU in the SEC is recruiting Texas very well, UT sucks but they land the Texas talent, then you have OSU and Oklahoma that recruit Texas very heavily also. You basically have 6 teams that are top 25 caliber recruiting the heck out of Texas along with TT to take the scraps. I'm no expert in sustainable per capita recruiting practices but I'm thinking the OK and TX teams should be very weary of adding UH.
I think the U. Houston is a smoke screen for negotiation purposes IMHO. Big12 is way to Texas heavy as it is IMHO. Cinci is the obvious addition and I guess the eastward crowd is going to take Memphis over BYU, but I would put money on UH being a decoy. Then again rational thoughts really aren't the Big12's forte.

My thoughts are that Cinci is the obvious answer since they are a solid program conveniently located to created a land bridge to WV. The idiots should have added Louisville and Cinci with WV when WV joined. Freaking duh, good heavens, and to think that these people make hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. Memphis over BYU is insanity in all respects, all they have is geography IMHO.
