Meh, I would consider myself a pretty die hard star wars fan and I think what sets star wars apart from pretty much any other film/comic/story is that it is literally a whole UNIVERSE. There's greater depth and more stories to be told than just about anything else I know of.

So for those die hard fans (like myself), what makes new movies and stuff great isn't necessarily their "cool" factor, as if we're a bunch of hipsters, but the fact that it explores some new realm/time period/portion of the star wars universe.
