Yep, for DisneyWorld, just surrender to the mouse and do it his way.
Shuttle directly from airport, stay in park lodging, get the meal plan, ect.
Don't pretend you're in Anaheim where there are tons of local and convenient hotels and restaurants. Disneyworld is an awesome park complex, but it would be a pain to leave and enter daily for a week. Especially if you haven't been there before, just hand over your wallet in advance, and then don't sweat it.
