Don't ever buy warranties...if the product isn't good enough, then don't buy it.
If you keep that rule in life, you'll spend far less money in long run, saying no to every offer (TV, electronics at walmart, to cars and phones). And if that thing does break down then you won't feel bad spending what it will take to buy a new one, knowing you've saved so much money. 7 years of marriage, never once purchased a warranty, and never had a problem with any product, saved a lot of money. Purchased two cars during that period too.
