Child #1 was born the day after I gave a talk to my department.

I was really stressing out that she would call me, in labor, right before or during my talk. Luckily she went into labor a few hours after. My first year of grad school was so rough. It didn't help that I didn't sleep for the last quarter of my first year (due to this kid).
