I'm about to start PA school. I chose this way because it's a career change
and I'm already in my mid 30s. It was a time thing for me. If I had had my head on straight years ago I'd probably have gone to med school. Having said that, PA really is a nice option. You won't earn as much, but school won't cost as much. Flexibility is really nice, and you can still make really good money.
