That being said, Med school is long and hard, and medical fields are very different in hours, culture, job description etc. Some fields will be undesirable enough to you that no amount of salary will make it worth it. You really need to find something you will enjoy spending your career in.
So the trick is to find out what you will really enjoy doing before investing all that time and money in Med school. If you find something you will love then go for it, but definitely don't do it just for the money or prestige, because you're in for a very rude awakening if you're doing it for money or prestige.
